It's bad enough when you cannot discuss the N*E*G*R*O baseball leagues in the baseball section without the word N*E*G*R*O being censored, but when when they do the same thing to the name of CONGRESSMAN Norm D*I*C*K*S, Democrat from the Tacoma Washington area, that's going too far. Open Question: Is Obama making headway with the Christian Leaders?

Antiabortion religious leaders urge lawmakers to pass Senate health bill With the home moving toward a final health-care vote, the White home circulated Friday night a letter from Catholic and evangelical leaders that refutes claims that the Senate health-care bill could guide to the federal funding of abortion coverage. Certain antiabortion advocates are demanding that Congress enact tougher restrictions, contained within a health-care bill passed by the home. Their efforts have proven influential with Democrats, led by Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich), who also oppose abortion; they have threatened to vote against the Senate bill when it reaches the home floor, likely tardy next week. But Democratic leaders are constrained from changing the Senate language and are seeking to reassure Stupak and his allies that their concerns are unwarranted. The National Catholic Reporter, which first reported on the letter, said it asks lawmakers "to make an informed decision about this legislation based on careful deliberation guided by facts." The text of the letter, signed by 25 antiabortion religious leaders, follows: http://voices.washingtonpost.com/44/2010/03/antiabortion-religious-leaders.html?wprss=44 Morna Murray President Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good Ron Sider President Evangelicals for Social Action Rev. The same thing can be asked of the GOP. Why do both parties use the force of the Federal Government to push thier view of morality on us. That is the way it is supposed to be. every those issues are to be handled locally.

Open Question: Anyone else feel like the Democratic party has left them?

Everyone in my family was always Democrat. My grandfather served in WW2 and never voted for a Republican. My dad was always a Democrat. But today Im not so sure they would be if they were alive. I dont think the Democrats support the working family anymore. They don't support the American dream. The Democrats in my opinion have become the party of entitlements, unions, and control. They don't seem to like capitalism. They dont seem to support individual freedom. Every one of their ideas and policies is rooted in what can the GOVERNMENT do to fix the problem? And I just think that is horribly, horribly wrong. Remember what JFK once said... "Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country." What would JFK say about Democrats today? I think he'd be disappointed too.

Open Question: How can you trust what you know to be accurate when your own mind is enraged at the opposing sides views?

If you hear to the news, every of the networks are either Dem or Rep, so you're hearing what they want you to hear; if you read newspapers, websites, etc. same thing. Almost every of what you think you know has been told to you in such a way that shapes your opinion. It's basic knowledge that the 2 sides to every story are both lies, so my question is... how do you know what you think you know about your party and why do you stand behind a party when it's virtually impossible for you to know the truth? Does it break down to that party's political statement? Republican - keep what you earn Democrat - share what you earn I'm interested in your personal reasoning.

Open Question: Should the Tea Parties tell the Theocrats not to let the door hit them on their way to the Democrat Party?

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0310/34291.html The Theocrats are not glad that somebody is finally standing up for capitalism. I am glad that the Tea Parties are attempting to bring about a revival of Goldwater-style conservatism to compete against the phony "conservatism" of the Theocrats. Many of these Theocrats support socialist/environmentalist policies such as a Global Warming Tax. Most (if not every) of the Theocrats are homophobic bigots who believe that states should be allowed to refuse to recognize valid out-of-state marriage contracts (even though the Constitution prohibits states from refusing to recognize valid out-of-state contracts). If the Tea Parties are truly going to be a political movement, not a religious movement, I think they ought to make explicit that homophobia, socialism/environmentalism, and theocracy are NOT welcome on the mainstream right wing. For every Theocrat turned away, there will be 3 or 4 tolerant people who believe in freedom attracted to the movement. If the Theocrats are going to be talking about how great Obama is, I suggest they go and join the Democrat Party. We need 1 party in this country that reflects Goldwater conservative values not a party of secular leftists and a party of theocratic leftists pretending to fundamentally oppose each other.

Open Question: If a pro life politician will crumble on abortion what wont they compromise?

Today the Health Care reform is closer then ever to passing cause the cabal of Pro life democrats in the home are caving in and supporting the bill without abortion language. The question is - Abortion is a huge issue if you will compromise this core value for political capital or gain what wont you compromise on? This goes for both democrats and republicans http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=MzU0MDYxMWEyOTdiNGU1OGU3ZjYzYmE3Y2ZlZDQ5NTY=

Open Question: Does Beck still have an audience?

I believe that it was around President's Day where he talked about Lincoln, and not particularly negatively. I believe Lincoln is a sensitive topic among a certain element of society, evoking much ranting, and I was surprised Beck mentioned him. I was concerned he would have lost half of his audience at that moment. And then a Democrat went on camera recently and didn't follow the narrative that I expected him to follow. Did it upset anyone?

Open Question: Where would America be without the GOP?

Without the GOP it might have taken decades longer to emancipate the slaves and give black people the vote. The KKK might have had free reign throughout the United States as well if it weren't for the GOP and women might have had to wait until the 1930's before getting suffrage. The GOP has done more good for America than any other political party since the Democrat-Republican Party.

Open Question: How can Dems be hypocrites when they have no moral code?

I look questions on here saying Republicans are hypocrites because they preach family values and living by a high moral code, and then they turn around and receive caught having affairs and what not. And I can't disagree with that. But did you ever wonder why Democrats aren't labeled is hypocrites? Is it because they guide cleaner lives? Or is it really because their moral code is essentially "Do whatever feels good." Kinda difficult to be found hypocritical of that, don't you think? So is it better to try and live by a high moral code and fail at times? Or is it better just to live by no moral code at every?

Open Question: Does anyone see a repeat of the Clinton years where the Dem is president, but GOP sweeps Congress?

If you'll recall, Clinton attempted and failed at Health Care Reform. He then lost Congress in a sweeping GOP victory in 1994. Clinton did win re-election in 1996, but from 2004 on, we had a Democrat President and GOP Congress for the relax of his presidency. I think it's likely we will look a replay of that, and it's already started.
